My thoughts on the winners:

Best Picture - Well, it seems to me that No Country for Old Men is being loved in every major city in North America. It’s being praised so much that everyday it tallies up one more win to it’s stat sheet. In my opinion, No Country for Old Men looks to win Best Picture.

Best Director - In what some may call ‘their comeback to quality’, the Coen brothers are dominating this years race. Paul Thomas Anderson has the second most amount of wins… he only has two! The Coen’s seem to be on their way to their first Oscar.

Best Actor in a Leading Role - An interesting choice indeed - though probably very biased, seeing as the performance comes from Canada’s biggest film, which happens to be by a director from Toronto and this is a Canadian critics award. Oh well, at least Viggo has some momentum going into the Golden Globes now. A very fine performance, and it’s nice to see someone else win something.

Best Actress in a Leading Role - A tie, eh? That’s interesting. Christie and Page, but no Cotillard? Sad. Oh well, it’s nice to see that neither woman won this award, and that it was split. Christie winning again probably would’ve sealed Marion’s and Ellen’s fate.

Best Actor in a Supporting Role - Isn’t it fun when an actual deserving performance wins a lot of awards? It makes me all tingly inside to see Bardem tear this category apart.

Best Actress in a Supporting Role - Cate’s third win comes from the greatest city in existence (kidding, of course). I’m glad to see that’s she’s won another award. Mainly because I’m sick of Ryan winning. Yay Cate.

Best Foreign Feature - Finally! I’m so happy to see an eligible film win this category. All it’s been is ‘La Vie en Rose’ this and ‘The Diving Bell and the Butterfly’ that. It’s also nice to see my win in this category solidify a spot in the category.

Best Screenplay - And the Coen brothers snatch another win. While the script was fine, I thought it lacked a little bit. If it were better, the film would’ve been top three of the decade. Sadly, it wasn’t. It’s fine to see it win, though. What is one to expect from a film that’s sweeping awards constantly?

Best Animated Feature - Ratatouille is officially the winner, I think. It seems it’s only competition is Persepolis, and even that is getting dominated by Ratatouille; critic-wise.

Best Documentary - It seems as if Sicko and No End in Sight will go right down to the wire here. An exciting race, but neither film excites me. Hmm.
