London To Brighton owns Cassandra’s Dream. Glad you liked My Blueberry Nights, too!

Yo guy, London to Brighton was pretty lame. It was interesting enough, but I felt pretty letdown when it ended. Like I was with Red Road. Gosh.

    Hey, did you love Strathairn?

Er, I’m not sure if you can claim a ‘01 listed film on imdb as an ‘08 film.

    Stuff and Dough.

Hmm. Interesting list. I’m seeing ‘Funny Games’ soon enough, but I’m still undecided on ‘Shine a Light’. I love The Rollings Stones and Martin Scorsese, but no one wants to go with me…, do you think I should go anyway?

I really, really envy you for seeing Towelhead and Snow Angels. :)
I actuully think I liked Speed Racer more than Iron Man. It’s a movie that grew on me a lot (and I already loved it when I saw it).

I haven’t seen too much this year so I can’t say too much about your ratings.

I recommend seeing Roman De Gare. It’s a pretty entertaining French film. It’s nothing amazing, but I think you’d like it.

Glad to see you liked Redbelt… It’s already underrated. And Towelhead already looks like a film I’m gonna enjoy, and it’s also nice to see that somebody else enjoyed The Happening…

Is Street Kings worth it btw? How is Laurie?

Did I Love Strathairn? I think the question should be who *didn’t* love Strathairn. He was majestic!

I never got round to seeing Red Road and I don’t really have any interest in it anymore. But I really liked London To Brighton, it’s still only a 7/10 for me, but it was the kind of gritty cinema Britain should do more of as they ‘we’ do it so succesfully.

    What?

Why such a low rating on Then She Found Me? Of course I’ve never seen it, but I’m curious.

Glad you liked Snow Angels, though.

Paula: The movie is just horrible. It’s very difficult to watch all the way through; the acting is horrible (Bette was good, though) and the movie just has one of the worst endings ever.

Jack: Well, Red Road is better - it, too, is ‘gritty’ British cinema. The entire cast was great in it, so check that out for Dickie alone.

M-man! : Laurie was really good. Street Kings is one of the best action/crime movies of the past couple of years - a lot of fun and really good, too. See it for sure. I’m also glad you enjoyed The Happening and Redbelt! I’m sure you’ll like Towelhead.

Mindy! : I almost saw that one day when I was downtown. To be honest, I’m not too interested in it, but I’ll most likely check it out.

Bill: I totally know how you feel. Every time I think about Speed Racer I get a warm feeling inside of me. I think I love it a lot more than my rating indicates. I’ma bump it to an 8 asap. And dude, Snow Angels is out in a few weeks, so yay!

Scarlett: Do you love The Rolling Stones? Because about 97% of the movie is dedicated to the concert, with a few minutes of stock footage here and there. IF you love them, see it at no cost. If not… well, either/or. Oh and the film is shot by some of the best cinematographers to live. Check it out on IMDb - the camera operators. That might push you to see it.

F-r-e-a-k: It got it’s first NY, NY release in May, so I’m putting it 2008 - it’s just how I do.

    Hey you!

I have to give Indiana Jones an 8 just because I love the franchise so much. Or maybe 7.5 at least.

And you’re *really* making me want to see In Bruges. I thought it looked interesting before, but if you liked it that much… :)

Oh, I saw it again! It’s still as good. Hilarious and really sad, too. You should love it. Everyone should!

I’m delighted to see that you loved The Man from London! I saw it a while back at a film festival and it was brilliant. London To Brighton and In Bruges were also stellar…..I wasn’t very fond of Funny Games - I prefer the original film, by far.

I want to see Redbelt eventually =)

Uh… I’ve seen so few 2008 movies and about the 80% of your current list I’m sure I’ll never even bother to see so I doubt I have anything clever to say . =( But I’ll be watching In Bruges very soon I hope! Ralph Fiennes FTW w00t!!!

Uh…I’m not quite sure what to say.

Definitely, Maybe is totally underrated. Such a sweet little film.
